    Walnut : juglans regia

    The walnut tree is a common tree, native to Eurasia, cultivated for its sought-after wood in cabinetmaking and oil-rich fruits.

    The edible part of the nut, called kernel, is covered with a thin membrane. The walnut, like almond, is considered a superfood due to its high fiber content, proteins, antioxidants and good fat.

    We caramelise walnut in different sizes including small pieces. Caramel adds even more flavour and crunchiness to this noble fruit. The sweet taste of the coating reduces the astringency of the walnut.
