Caramelised blue poppy seeds

The opium poppy also known as “garden poppy” is an annual herbaceous plant species from the Papaveraceae family and is native to southern Europe and North Africa.

Known for centuries for its psychotropic properties, poppy seeds are used in and on various food items. They are a key ingredient for bakery and pastry. We only use blue poppy made in France.

We caramelise Blue Poppy seeds. The caramel coating adds a delicate sweetness and crunchiness to the seeds without diminishing their natural taste which is close to the hazelnut and pine nut one.
